Any member of the YPU who attains the age of 35 automatically becomes an Alumni of the YPU.

Alumni can continue to attend meetings at zonal or district level, but they are exempted from holding a substantive position in the YPU. As such they cease to be a member of the Executive on Zonal, District and National level on the date of turning 35.

Their special tasks are:

• to assist YPU as an advisor in all undertakings
• to bridge the gap between YPU and senior party leaders where possible and necessary
• to settle disputes in the YPU as neutral persons

Every Alumni who stands for a political position will be supported by the YPU if s/he is interested.

As of December 2007, the following YPU Members will become Alumni:
