The
National Secretariat is the implementation arm of the YPU
at national level.
Its tasks are to represent the YPU internally and externally,
to design and implement zonal, district and national activities,
to guarantee an exchange of information between all organs
of the YPU, to coordinate all the administration of the
YPU as well as to coordinate the cooperation with governmental
departments, Non-Governmental Organisations and other parteners.
The National Secretariat consists of 12 members. Elections
take place after every two years at the Annual General Meeting
(AGM) held in December. While the Constitution of the YPU
was revised and adopted at the 2007 AGM, elections for new
National Secretariat office bearers were constitutionally
and procedrually challenged by a cross section of the YPU
membership. Hence a new Secretariat was elected at the 2008 AGM held between 4th-5th February 2009. The new office bearers are as follows; |
